Hope you stayed calm and poked 'him' in the eye.

Who?!!! I was there for 40 minutes all by myself!! Really, I don't know why I bother. trying to generate some interest in the goldang "travel chatroom" here and nobodmmrrmgrgmrblgrmbl. I mean, I can take it if somebody says "Intrepid, you're a boring dingbat and not only that you've got a pretentious username. Goodbye." It doesn't particularly bother me when the co-chatter suddenly goes to wash his/her hair or something without telling me. But sitting in front of a computer trying pathetically to attract somebody's attention for 40 minutes I feel like a virtual-age streetwalker for pete's sake. I don't need this kind of humiliation. If I want rejection I'll get home organ transplant kit.

And if the world isn't safer, don't come crying to ME. If Michael Palin comes pounding on your door at 3 in the morning wanting to talk about the world not being safe enough and he asks if you've been going to his sponsored website's chatroom, well, I'll let you finish the sentence yourself.

I have to be up at sparrow's fart to talk to people in the chat room. :(

That's an interesting turn of phrase, by the way and it raises some questions. People in Australia have an excuse. I wish they'd fix that User List on the side so you'd have the luxury of knowing if you're not talking to yourself.

There's somebody in the chatroom now, but I'm not telling you who. Find out more by checking there now, if you're so inclined. -David
