A US appeal for travel special! by SingDino on 30 December 2002 9:13pm

I'm so bothered with the fact that out here in no mans land (USA,) we don't have the fabulous MP clubs or anything really. He should travel here! we have MANY interesting places to visit... I'm sure everyone over there would love to see a special on the "Biggest Ball Of Twine in Minnesota" or perhaps "the worlds largest non-stick frying pan" I've even heard-tell of an Eiffel Tower replica with a sombrero perched on its top. Who could ask for anything more, really?

Michael... Mr.Palin... US people love you just as much as all the other wonderful lovely people in Europe and all the other countries where Python isnt banned do! ...And I dont know if you've done any traveling lately (haha... get it. because... its...nevermind) But tickets to get to there, from here... are rather expensive for those not gainfully employed.

I like the idea, of Michael meeting the people who create these types of things, and finding out why?

Here's a web site that's devoted to "offbeat roadside tourist attractions" in the U.S.

THANKS! There's a worlds largest frying pan in Long Beach, WA... and another one in Rose Hill, NC!

in Cuyahoga Falls, OH... there's 'Cathedral Buffet and Jesus Wax Museum' ... that's interesting..

Burns, OR - Large Ball of Twine
County Museum. They possess a large ball of twine. I don't know why.

San Francisco, CA - World's Largest Rubber Band Ball

these are my faves anyway...

There's a Britney Spears museam??? Wow, I did not know that. I'd love to see a series on America, but it always seems like everyone already knows America, lol. What's the Cathedral Buffet and Jesus Wax Museum???

I'm not really sure what it is... but it sounds interesting, no? The America special could be about all the wonderful (cruddy) roadside attractions!

Ye gods...please tell me it isn't so...a Britney Spears museum??

What on earth is my dear ol' country coming to? ;O)

Interesting 'roadside attractions', though! Or at least...unique.
