I was lucky enough to see Marillion in concert in Newport last month and I'd agree with you that they are definitely a Band worth seeing.
{I also went to see Fish in Cardiff - where I live - in April and that was a super night too...."Market Square Heroes" for the second encore was simply awesome!!}

Nothing much else to add - just thought I'd add a few comments on a thread devoted to one of my favourite Bands.

TC

PS - Have you heard of a newish progressive rock band called "Mostly Autumn". All I can say is they're well worth checking out.
Try................

http://www.mostly-autumn.com

for starters.

hi travelchampion . like you i went to see fish gigs this past aprill .Dublin Liverpool Edinburgh and Glasgow . you are right about market square heroes it was cool ! as the fish gig in Dublin was in a tiny little club and i got the front row i was nose to belly with fish . ( fish is abouit 6 foot 5 for those who don't know and the stage was only about 6 inches off the ground ! ) a group of us were having a chat with him between songs it was cool . did you know there will be a fish convention next year in haddington to mark the 20th anniversary of the album misplaced childhood . must rejoin the comapny to be able to get a ticket !
i saw marillion in dublin and in belfast as i have said in the post at the top of this topic . both amazing gigs although the venue in Dublin was better then the one in belfast . i would have given my right arm to see them in the astoria in london but the euro to sterling exchange rate bankrupted me as i had to take a huge amount of euros out of the bank to get spending money for the fish gigs ! i had to stick to the 2 marillion gigs in ireland . i belive though the astoria gigs were recorded and will be released on a DVD before too long . also marillion have a fan club convention next year .
cheers
Linda

Like you I had a "front row" position for the concert in Cardiff and I managed to get some pretty good pictures of both Fish and the Band.

If you want to have a look, some of the ones I submitted made it onto the official Fish Website. As a fan yourself, I doubt whether I need to help you navigate around "the-company.com" website, so I'll just say that mine are the ones from April 3rd, 2004 taken at The Point in Cardiff.

{Don't forget to check out Mostly-Autumn if they ever make it over to Ireland....well worth trusting me on this one?!}

"Could I save them to my hard disk?"

Yep - no problem. But if you want I could always email you links to some of the better, full size originals!

I'm off for a long weekend to Brussels in about....oh...20 minutes time. If you're interested, feel free to get in touch early next week.

Bye for now,
Andrew
