Michael's Australian Tour, January/February 2003 by andrewhh on 7 January 2003 5:06am

Hi,

Michael's publishers have confirmed that Michael is touring Australia in January/February, and will be speaking at several dinners in state capitals. However, they don't know the venues or where tickets can be obtained from. If anyone knows, PLEASE let me know as I'm desperate to go.

Best wishes,
Andrew.

When Michael came to NZ promoting his full circle he gave a presentation at the NorthShore Convention Centre. There was an advert in the local paper.

Going from the newspaper adverts, keep a close eye on them :D

Im so excited to see Michael again. I have already had 'Sahara' signed by him and i think Piglet said that it was alright if I had something else Palin related signed instead. Is Michael only signing in one place in Sydney? Will I be seeing any Sydney-sider-Palinites there? I sure look forward to it!

Hi, Karen from Melbourne here. I'm very excited at the prospect of meeting MP again. I was lucky enough to get to the front of a very long queue at the Hemingway book signing a few years ago. Does anyone have any info ...where, when!? Thanks from Karen.

Hi Karen,

Andrew posted the details of the Melbourne luncheon a few days ago. Here's what he wrote:

Hi all,

I've been doing some more research, and found this on the Dymocks.com.au website under "author events":

Michael palin, 2 course luncheon
at Main Hall, Melbourne Town Hall
12.15, Wednesday January 29
$58.50 age subscribers/dymocks booklovers, $65 general admission

phone 03 9660 8500 to book, or email levents@dymocks.com.au

Best wishes,
Andrew.

Where/when was the Hemingway book signing you went to? I'm from Melbourne also, and I've already ordered my tickets for the upcoming event :)

Cheers,
Michelle
