Whicker or Palin ? by middle_of_the_road1966 on 28 September 2004 3:15pm

For me its go to be Alan Whicker.
Palin is ok but not in Whickers class.
IMO Whicker has far more knowledge, & Palin relies on cheap gags to get him through.

Just curious - but when did Alan Whicker last have a new series on TV?

"Just curious - but when did Alan Whicker last have a new series on TV?"

August 16th this year - Whicker's War, a two-part series screened by Channel 4.
Very good it was too.

It's a daft question anyway. There's no need to choose between them. And to say that Palin relies on cheap gags to get him through suggests you haven't been paying attention.
