Toilets by Strewth on 7 January 2006 5:09am

And the site has reached a new low, people are clicking on a topic dubbed "Toilets".

Oh, I josh you. I could be doing something else right now, but I'm easily amused. Which isn't bad, the world needs more amusment anyhow. And right now, I'm taking up your precious time with this utterly stupid topic that you are currently reading. I bet you mad with yourself. Here I sit, rambling away about toilets (which, in Mexico, might as well be a hole in the ground), and you're still reading this.
Well, how's your day been, then. I had a terrific day. can't quite remember what I did, but I had fun. How 'bout you, then. Are
Do your Inlaws annoy you? How so?
You're still reading this then?
Well you shouldn't. Just stop. Right here. Really. I'm being serious. My fingers are getting tired.
Where was I? Toilets?
Oi, STOP READING!

Oh no, we are being flushed again, but not necessarily with pride! LOL!
Toilets seem to keep popping up. Should be a song, stuck in the bathroom, again.

Posh people call them lavatories. I think toilet is a much more genteel soundig word. Toilet was the first word I learned to read - my family had a B&B and the word was written on the toilet door. So my Mum taught me the letters and their sounds.

Coincidentally, Home Truths on R4 just had a toilet story on whule I've been posting this. :-)

Toilet may be a more genteel word, but when you are in a hurry "loo" is as good as any!

Lav, innit!

At the MP evening ages ago, someone asked about his favourite toilet. He said that one in Tiger Leaping Gorge I think, "the best toilet in the world"!

I hate those publics ones in france, the holes in the ground, "shit holes" we dubbed them! The name explains everything!!

The problem with public toilets is that there is never one around when you really need one!

Re: Toilets by Tauriel on 7 January 2006 11:01pm

We call them WC here. Beware of public toilets (on railway and bus stations, mostly) if you ever come to Czech Republic or Slovakia! They're a nightmare! They may not be as bad as the "worst toilet in Scotland" (Trainspotting, nudge nudge wink wink), but in 80% they're pretty bad, there's general shortage of paper and you have to pay for them (!!!). One of the still remaining socialist joys... :-/ Though, toilets in restaurants and petrol stations are all right, at least...
