annoying things your parents have done to you by arty_farty on 24 February 2006 3:44pm

the most annoying thing my stepdad did was to pull my PJ trousers down and throw them out the front door.
all because i changed the telly from MOTD to Fairly Odd Parents.

I pride myself on being annoying in fact when my kids say "mum don't ever do that to me in public again" I consider this to be a a big win :):):)

Good grief, this is a loaded thread. It is the thread that has made therapists wealthy. I have made peace with my parents (mostly my mother) for all sorts of things. I made peace, so I could move on.

But I don't want to work at the UN. That means I have to live in New York and deal with the subway and snow and...my parents!
LOL!

My mother STOLE my toy panda when I was 8 and she was working on the jumble stall at our school fete..I trotted along and there she was SELLING IT!!! I went nuts, bought it myself with my last 50c (hellova lot of money in those days) and have never let her live it down!!! She said it was too old and scruffy to keep!

When I was little the daughter of a friend of my parents (work colleague I presume) had some sort of accident or illness which meant that they were flat on their back in hospital for months. My parents gave her my precious dolls house!!!!! Much later, they brought her round to our house, and said to me 'be careful with [whatever her name was] as she has hurt her back'. I said ok, I'll take her to play in my bedroom - then purposely DRAGGED her up the stairs at speed!!!

I know, I know, sounds dreadful - but I was only about 6 at the time.

Although I was a bit of a tomboy and didn't play with dolls muuch, I still loved the dollshouse - switching on the lights, choosing furniture, you know.

another of my parental gripes is... why do they give you knickers on your birthdays and christmas when they could just as easily bought you some and quietly slipped them in your draw without the embarresment of opening them in front of your mate and/or family?
WHY GOD DAMN YOU WHY?
