Anyone seen it?

It starts on Friday at my local cinema so hope to see it at the weekend, if I have time.

Have you seen it, Ellerd?

No, I haven't seen it Suzulu, and I'm not particularly keen to tell you the truth. Al Gore was interviewed on Australian TV last week and said he didn't set out to depress people - but I don't know...

I am sure it will be depressing and I am not sure if I want to see it either. After the film on Friday, there is going to be a "Green Question Time" with Friends of the Earth, Campaign against Climate Change and the Green Party etc.

This is so much in the media now and the more there is the better, depressing though it may be. Something has to be done before it is too late.

I did go to see the film this evening and I am glad I did. It is well worth seeing. Briefly, the stone-cold reality is frightening and Al Gore did seem sincere. It ended with the feeling that all is not lost if everyone takes responsibility (and that means governments too!). The "Question Time" after the film was interesting.

Rally and march concerning climate change to be held on 4th November in Central London.

I do wish that Al Gore was the USA's President!

On a more lighter note, Michael is one of the patrons of our little cinema (along with other celebrities of stage and screen) and a video (which was shown before the film) has just been made with the celebrities asking people to become "Friends" of the cinema (it is an independent one). It looks like that Michael is standing in the foyer eating one of the cakes they sell. I am a "friend" of the cinema, by the way! This video can be seen on the cinema's website (but my PC doesn't allow me to do so!). Website: www.phoenixcinema.co.uk
