Great to hear Michael's news! I am so looking forward to the series - it is going to be very interesting.

I wish Rochester, NY was part of Michael's New Europe.

excuse my silly message above. "edit" seems not to work.

I hear your pain, Komutanuc...

I got the email and seriously said the word "squee".

Is that a word? :P

I just got home from my morning classes and errand running to find that there was New Europe news and will admit to jumping for joy in the kitchen and saying "Goody gumdrops!" You aren't alone, Cori! Here's to wishing Lenoir, NC was part of Michael's New Europe. My somewhat accurate Magic 8 Ball seems to think I'll meet him in person someday...we shall see. ;) Am really hoping that there'll be some book signings planned in the States.

I posted about this in the Series section: http://www.palinstravels.co.uk/static-51?topic=9290&;forum=11

Only four minutes before this thread! :-P Sorry, suzulu! ;-)

Let's keep this discussion in one thread, shall we? :-)

I'm excited about the new series. I have been "summoned" back to Poland. All I could do was salute long distance.

No, Mr. P cannot come to Tucson on this trip. We certainly do not look like the new Europe. All that cactus.

I am SO excited about this! I am 1/4 Romanian, 1/4 Polish, and about 1/2 (two different quarters!) Russian. I grew up KNOWING that I'd NEVER get to see any of those places. Due to the Cold War, I never anticipated that westerners would ever be able to visit.

I know that sounds strange to you young'uns. :^D

Even if we could someday visit, then I thought, well, if anyone around me in those countries found out I'm a......come closer, I have to whisper it (Jew) then some harm would surely come to me. After all, that's why all the great-parents left.

I can't wait to see what MP and crew see...
