Post Holiday 'downer' by Ginnyp on 21 September 2006 12:37am
I am sorry if I have upset anyone with my rants this week. There was no offence intended. I had such a great time with my children, on holiday, that I have suddenly come back to earth with a CRASH! Does anyone else feel like this sometimes?

It is a sign that your holiday wasn't long enough, Ginny. If it were too long you would be happy to get home, anxious to get back to old routines.

That you are having 'reality shock' tells me you would have done well to have taken a less extravagant holiday over a longer duration.

We are all a little bummed returning from holiday, I'm sure, Ginny.

I always feel disgruntled when returning from holiday, Ginny. It's the normal thing, I think.

ditto that. Don't worry about it, Ginny - we've all felt that way.

Thank you for your kind words. I suddenly realised, because the children were begging to stay longer, that as we had booked the flights separately from the main holiday, we could have stayed longer and just rebooked our accommodation, but I had other committments. So, I won't be booking a package tour again. However,I haven't come back to routine, unfortunately, because of divorce, and it was August, everything I thought I had sorted out prior to the trip has come to nothing. I will start over again!
