Today we are in Napa Valley. We are visiting two vineyards; Rombauer and Duckhorn. So far the scenery is scorched rolling hills, highway after highway and lots of traffic!

This is a totally different climate than San Francisco! Pictures later.

Sounds good! Any wine tasting?

I don't drink, but Kevin had a whale of a time! I drove back to our hotel, a 90 mile drive!

We had lunch with the owner of Rombauer Vineyard, KR Rombauer. I took lots of pictures of the vineyard and the caves where they keep the barrels, over a mile of under ground caves holding 2,500 wooden barrels. The barrels cost between $1,200-$1,500 to buy, we're not talking filled with wine here, we're talking what the Cooper charges. And the Cooper in Napa Valley is Irish.

The grape sorter, fermenting tanks, pressers are all huge and expensive. I took pictures of everything and will put them up later.

After lunch at the American Culinary Institute of Napa we went to Duckhorn Vineyard and I ate grapes off the vine, Kevin sampled eight wines.

Then onto Mumms Vineyard, I ate more grapes off the vine, they ate bitter as heck! I also found out that if you see roses growing on the edge of the vineyard it is dome because if the soil starts to fail due to disease the rose bush will show signs of dying before the vines will

It was a lovely day and Napa Valley is gorgeous. A True wine lovers paradise.

Today Sean's team played 3 water polo games and won one :-(

You should watch a YouTube video of this sport, sometimes it is unbelievably dirty play, elbows into the eyes, strangle holds, and that's above the water!

The kids are tired, first games was at 7:50am and the last game was at 6:00pm, a very long day.

For lunch we drive to Palo Alto and then toured the aquatics center at Stanford University. A huge campus, they had four out door water polo pool, one huge outdoor olympic sized swimming/warm up pool and two more pools inside! No wonder the west coast water polo teams dominate the sport!

Palo Alto was a beautiful town. Tomorrow we
drive to Santa Cruz for two more games.

The kids are loving it though, big smiles on their faces, they're having a blast. What a great experience for them!

We went to Fenton HS today, the team played two games, won one. The last team they played were fantastic water polo players, tough game.

In between games myself and two friends, Anita (from India) and Tina (from Pakistan) drove to a seaside town called Capitola for lunch. The wind was chilly but it was very sunny and people were swimming in 65 degree water temps!

This town, Capitola is on Monteray Bay. Across the beach in the distance is the town of Carmel, and I could swear that Clint Eastwood was waving to us! That just made my day!
