Don't be sad, lads - the situation reminds me of what was happening to the last sections of Michael's journeys, like when they couldn't complete the full circle because of the weather or they have to fly into Antarctic instead of going by sea at the end of Pole to Pole... It kind of in style of Palin's travels, isn't it ? |

Since it's after the date, can we go ahead and say what "Project Palin" is? |

Umm, who was the last person to receive the damned thing ? Is this a case for Sherlock Holmes ? I don't think so. Obviously one of you 'celebrity struck nuts', just forgot to mail it.
Does Michael Palin seem like the type of guy that would appreciate some of you young and not so young knicker throwers ?
Get real you silly women, he's an author/ journalist and one time funny guy not a teen idol. |

How about trying something similar for next Christmas? I suggest we each take a passport size photo of ourselves and send a copy to a co-ordinator. (one of us - any volunteers?) Then he/she could paste them onto a huge card (or not so huge cards) and put our names and country as a caption underneath. We could have a theme to the photos maybe. If it works, we could do it every year with a different theme.
This would not have to rely on thre actual card travelling round the world. - The loss of one photo, while tragic, would not affect the whole unit. It could even be done via email and when it's all together, get it "professionally" printed. I'm sure one of us would have a snazzy printer.
Whadya think?

That's a good idea, Linz. I'm ready when everybody else is.

Or...a ten second video clip from each of us. Most digital cameras and many cell-phones record video. The co-ordinator would reject a lengthy one. They can be compiled on a cd and sent to his office address.
The thought of Michael Palin watching US is very intriguing indeed! I have a cd burner and will happily be the co-ordinator. I would need time, so an early deadline, say middle of November.
