What sort of drink will I have next?
I've got half an hour to decide.
Maybe I'll have a drink and an aspirin.
Then I'll have another drink, different from the first one.
Then I'll have a Strepsil.
Then I'll have a paracetamol.
Is that too many pills and stuff to have before lunch?
'Probably'
'I'm not arguing with you'
What's for lunch?
'I don't know yet'
(I've decided to have a pint of orange and an aspirin.)

What a wierd post I made last time. It looks like I was feeling sorry for myself with a cold.

My wife is being scheduled for a knee replacement operation. She has had trouble with it for 10 years and has had the courage to go for the consultation yesterday. I've heard very good reports of many successful operations of this type and even though she has other health considerations I'm hopeful that in about 4 months time she'll be through the procedure and getting back on her feet again.

Good luck to Mrs Ken.

I'll pass your good wishes on to my wife, SF2. Thank you.

All the best, Mrs Ken Dunn. I know several people who have had knee replacements and those who got fit going into the surgery and stayed active following, had a remarkable recovery.

Burn off those extra pounds and strengthen your leg above and below the knee, and
when the doctors say 'Walk on it', do it.

Good luck to your wife, Ken.

My ex-boss had a knee replacement last year and is doing very well. I think she may have gone back to playing tennis.

I have a headache. The doctor asked if I had any trouble with my vision. I said that, yes, when I shut my eyes when the pain is severe I can't see!

I'll transfer this to the joke book when the headache is better!

I've had a hip injury for the past 6 months. Today I can say it is better except for a little discomfort when I exercise too much.

My wife's knee operation is scheduled for 13th August - unless it gets postponed again.

Sorry you're hurt. Hope you heal soon and your wife's operation is a success!

I can empathize. The health care I was getting before I moved was dreadful and turned me pretty much into a cripple. (And one doctgor's mistake put me in the hospital for 10 days last summer.)

Got MUCH BETTER care here and hope to be back running around soon. (And got much better vet care for my dog, too.)
VIVA NEW MEXICO!

Hope your wife's knee operation goes well, Ken, and hope your hip injury doesn't give you too much pain.
