Pleased to hear you have better health care in New Mexico, sighthound and hope you have a full recovery.

After an assessment postponement and an operation postponement my wife's knee operation is to take place on Tuesday (29 Aug) with an early admission to the hospital on the day for, hopefully, being through the procedure by early afternoon.

I hope you wife's operation goes well, Ken and wishing her a speedy recovery.

My wife's replacement knee operation has gone well and recovery and rehabilitation are well under way. She'll be in hospital for a few days yet until climbing stairs can be done. We're glad the difficult part is all over.

I see from his other website posts that Michael has an injured foot and is to undergo mitral valve surgery on his heart soon. Best wishes with that Michael, and from our recent experiences my wife and I can thoroughly recommend the very high quality health treatment and care available in the UK.

I thought Michael was referring to the foot in the photo being swollen! This foot was in A Private Function.

Glad your wife's surgery went well, Ken.

My wife got home from hospital 2 days ago and the recovery process, with specific exercises, takes up to 6 months. Things are going well so far with a significant increase in confidence with the new knee now that she is home.

Sending best wishes for a full recovery. My husband's brother had a new knee in early April this year and by the end of April he was chomping at the bit to get driving again! [I know the dates because his op was just a few days after my husband's 70th birthday [1st April] and we visited them on the way to Norfolk on 22nd April!]. His wife had a new hip a few months later and is well on the way to recovery.
