No, but that means he's all yours. Here's a quandry you'll enjoy Anne;

If an atheist gets sworn in on the witness stand and puts his hand on a bible and says,

"I swear to tell the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God."

Has he already lied?

As an atheist myself, I know that they don't swear on the bible Loretto (they affirm I think, and don't put their hand on the bible but raise it in the air?) - interesting thought though.

And oh, thank you Loretto - I shall enjoy him all to myself then (I WISH!!!).

:)))))

Really Anne!!! So an atheist really does that! I'm one myself but the thought struck me today when Sean was reading through John Stewart's new book Earth. Stewart mockingly said, the bible is a book you place your hand on and it makes you tell the truth :-)

Funny thought just struck me, the two Christians in the house have no interest in decorating the house for Christmas, the atheist does it!!! LOL

Its a lights and colors thing I think!

Do you remember the White Brotherhood in Palin's New Europe? Interesting group right?

A lapsed Irish Catholic who is now an atheist? Guilt does'nt come in bigger servings than that. ;)

(fanning Spursfan with one hand) I have two:
"Here's looking at you, kid."
"There is only one punishment for the Grail shaped beacon at Castle Anthrax. First the tying down, then the spanking, then the....." oh, you know.

Fran!!!!! LOL

Even worse than being a lapsed Irish Catholic John, I am a superstitious atheist. Between the rosary beads my mother gave me and the holy water she brought me from Lourdes, the Sacred Heart picture she gave me when we got married and the prayer book for my Confirmation, they are all neatly tucked away in the attic. I am afraid to get rid of them in case my mother will become angry with me. That in itself was scary enough when she was alive!

Favourite line inn a film called "White Mishief" - wealthy, dysfunctional ex pats in Africa in 30's/40's (maybe earlier).
Sara Miles plays a heroin addict although her condition isn't acknowledged by her family. She appears in her dressing gown for breakfast, pours herself a drink, shuffles onto the verrandah and slowly announces, "God! Not another f***ing, beautiful sunrise!"

Any scene from Pulp Fiction, I love that movie. I'll settle on the scene with JT and Uma dancing.

Well I love the scene in 'Finding Neverland' (which is a brilliant film) where because Kate Winslet's character is too ill to see the premiere of 'Peter Pan', Deppie (J. M. Barrie) arranges for the cast to re-enact it at their home so she can see it. She's watching it with the children and everyone is laughing and happy and she quietly dies!! Omigod! How sad!

:'(

Definitely one to have the tissues handy !!

ANY scene of course in PoTC, (new one out soon - YES!!! 'On Stranger Tides' is due out (in 3D!) on May 20th 2011) but I do like the first scene that you see Jack Sparrow, in the first film, 'Curse of the Black Pearl' as he comes into port on his leaking ship, ending up on top of the mast, JUST getting to the jetty in time!

:D
