Cheers Fran xxx :)
UTIs ( urinary tract infections or bladder infections) can cause a huge number of problems in the elderly other than the obvious symptoms. they can cause confusion, irrationality and aggression.
Pete that's an ace tool to use it's called reminiscence therapy or diversion therapy. It often works really well. |

Spoke with Mr. Teabag this morning. It looks as if all these issues are being caused by the infection in her leg and (although not confirmed) UTI.
As in the infection that she picked up the last time she was at this particular hospital. :P SO if anyone knows where we could get the leeches....
They're going to try to get her down to AZ again. She's isolating herself w-a-a-y too much. |

Mr. Teabag just spoke with the eldest Miss Teabag.
The good news: Mrs. T. sr. is making a good recovery.
The bad news: a hospital social worker stopped by and chatted with her. The social worker just chatted with Miss Teabag the Eldest. Mrs. Teabagsr. thinks we're abandoning her. And has the social worker half convinced of it. :P

Oh Fran. Thank you for sharing with us some of the difficulties you are experiencing with the care of your beloved elder. It sounds like she is returning some of that love with a different way of expressing it.
Keep your strenght up and let that smile shine bright! |
