Hi Patty,

We are currently looking into your chat room problems, but could you please let me know some information about your computer:

Are you using a PC or a Mac?

Are you using Internet Explorer and what version?

If you send this information we can carry out some tests and hopefully solve your problem.

Cheers,

Webmaster

Hi Patty and Phyll,

Patty, I think that upgrading your version of IE might solve the problem.

If you are using OS 9 then paste the following link into your browser and follow the instructions:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c63e64fc-9ae6-477d-bbdd-2b07a5e82035&;DisplayLang=en

If you are using OS X then paste the following link into your browser and follow the instructions:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=367b0823-507f-49da-a45d-ae814b470bd8&;DisplayLang=en

Good luck!

Phyll, do you have a firewall or any other permissions set on your browser?

Which operating system are you using?

Cheers,

Webmaster

Webbie, if I download the new version and don't like it, can I somehow get back to where I am at present? If so, how do I do that? Won't my present version be lost somewhere where I can't reach it? How do I find it again? (I tried downloading this Mac about a year ago, and so many things changed and I had a mess here. I'm a little scared.

I went to the upgrade screen and checked my Stuffit thingy. The upgrade says I should have 5.5 or more. I think mine says 5.1, so it isn't going to work, right? I hope I am looking in the right spot. DAH! This scares me. I can't afford to lose computer use. I'm at home with nobody here that knows a thing about techinical stuff. Guess you can tell-Ha-Ha!

Do you think I can safely get back to wherre I am now, if I try to upgrade and screw thigns up?

Hi Patty ,

Patty, you can have multiple versions of IE and select which one you want to use.

When you download the new version, store it in a new folder in applications on the Macintosh HD. Then you can choose which version you want to use.

You may have to reset your bookmarks.

Your Stuffit program should work fine.

Cheers,

Webmaster

Hi Phyll,

Not sure why you are experiencing problems - need to do some more investigation.

I will let you know asap.

Webbie, I have an iMac and it doesn't have "bookmarks" Am I still ok to upgrade? I'm completely computer illiterate, so I really appreciate your patience.
