Americans, Which Issues Press Your Buttons by tucsonmike on 6 July 2007 4:26am

In my case, the Federal issues that affect me directly are:
1. Health Care.
2. Social Security.
3. Employment.
4. Immigration and the Border.

1- The war - its cost in lives and money and the the rotting of the national soul that empire-building creates.

2- Health Care, Health Care, Health Care! Our system is dismal.

3- Global warming.

4- Corporate out-sourcing of jobs and agriculture.

1. Health care / medical research

2. Iraq / repairing relationships in the world

3. N. Korea, or any other place we may LEGITIMATELY have to be militarily involved

4. the Earth

5. freedom, liberty and choice

Mike, why is this thread only for the opinions of Americans? All the issues mentioned so far are global issues, surely.

They are global issues, Karen. I split the threads up, because in this one I was leading to which candidate do you think will meet your needs.

I figured the International thread would be for which one of these candidates you think would benefit your nation.

Immigration and the war mostly.

Healthcare seems to be the biggie. Having said that, now that more candidates have platforms, do you have a better idea of who you are going to support for next year?

Mike, do you even realise that you are trying to do to this site what your country is trying to do to the world?

Oh not you too, Johnny. It is Blathering On, after all. It is Mr. P's site after all, and he is British if I remember correctly.

I do not think the Yanks here would be here, if we did not like things British.

Well to be honest Mike, I don't think it matters who you have as President in regards to my country, because terrorism is affecting our lives here now, and it's a treadmill we have been put on by America and probably can't get off.
