I met Michael!!!!! by sir_spence on 8 April 2003 7:17am

Holy @%&$! I met Michael today at Indigo, in Toronto for a book signing. I got there 1 hour and 20 minutes early just in case we'd need to get our seats. BUT!!!! As I discovered half an hour into my wait, one was required to purchase tickets a week in advance! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! But, I didn't care. So I waited some more, more, (yawn!), and more. But, don't get me wrong, the wait wasn't all that bad. I read these tacky children's "novels" consisting of tacky rip-offs of such classics like "Oliver Twist" and "Jane Eyre". I was too lazy to remove my leather jacket, so I was sweating my tits off. I did manage to chat with 2 lovely girls around my age (15), who were JUST as much obsessed with Monty Python as I was. So, we exchanged the occassional "NI!", "This parrot is NO MORE!", and "Tiger brand coffee is a real treat, even tigers prefer it, over real meat!". Alas, when time came for them to exchange their tickets for seats I was once again, doomed for another half hour of boredom. And, the next half hour isn't worth talking about, seeing as how frhgdtxhfxh...........

Anyway, if you've bothered to read this far, which I doubt, you will have reached the following statement that describes the events as follows: ahem!! (clears throat).... ............

..............

......

Sorry about that.. a comedian came on to introduce Michael, and suddenly my dad pushed my head to the side: AND THERE HE WAS!!!!!! I'm quite far sighted, so, I couldn't see him that clearly, but it was soooooo him! As he went to the centre to present, my previous plan to stand clenching my copy of Sahara, with an irresistable pout had been abandoned, seeing as how thrilled I was to just... see him! It was sooooo awesome! After signing everyone who paid to see him, he then made a tremendous gesture to sign the books of all the cheap bastards who showed up (a.k.a "me")! I had this ridiculous permanent grin on my face, and dad took a picture of Michael, my sister and I: but the damn flash didn't work. If they don't turn out, I'll just be glad of the experience (sic) Thank you sooooooooo much Michael!
