Dresscode Spamalot by Elsie on 10 October 2007 8:45pm

Hello!

Here I am with a stupid question again:
I'm going to Spamalot next month and I have no idea what to wear. I'm from Belgium and here people just wear jeans or something for a musical, but what is the dresscode in London?
(I would like to fit in completely)

Thanks!
Els

Hi Elsie, I went to Spamalot in London a few months ago, dressed up and all, but people around were wearing not only evening gowns and tuxedos:) T-shirts and jeans were rather common! So don't think too much about that, enjoy the musical and sing along, it's really great. After the first half a woman behind me said, "oh it's just very silly!" and left. I wish I had asked her, "now what did you expect?.." :-)))

Yeah, what did she expect of a musical called 'Spamalot'? :-)

Thanks for the answer!

Elsie, when we went to Spamalot earlier in the year, we had (cheap) seats right at the front & people were wearing exactly what they wanted. Some had just come from work, etc. so just wear what you like & as Katia says, Don't worry about it, just enjoy a terrific show.
