Jamaica, a Place for a Palinite Get Together? by tucsonmike on 9 November 2007 5:37am

See the link in travel. Now THAT would be interesting. Noel Coward, and Ian Fleming. We could do our versions of Dr. No and Live and Let Die.

Not a place I would have thought of otherwise.

They would be hard to miss, they are everywhere, but not worth hunting, not enough to eat except for Yerbie.

Jamaica would be nice for ANY kind of get-together!

Mike, when I visited AZ 2 yrs, ago, someone at the hotel told me I could drive out to the desert at night, turn all the car lights off and sit for a while, and then turn the lights on again and I would be in a car covered in tarantulas, because they like to find something warm to sit on at night.

Any truth to that? I didn't try it. I HAVE gotten over the childhood arachniphobia, but not to that extent. :^)

I was in AZ back in March of 1990, for the ill-fated marriage of a dear friend. We went out to the desert near Phoenix, and the only remotely dangerous thing we saw was a drunk in an old Chevy shooting the saguaros and swearing when he missed. He must have been pretty drunk--he wasn't very far away, and those things are HUGE! We didn't try going back at night.
