Was lucky enough to meet her this weekend and speak with her at length. Will post more about conference, but I need some sleep.

It must have been interesting to meet her. Glad you had a good time.

She is an interesting person, Sue. She is now this major author, but none of it goes to her head. She still sees herself as the poor simple girl from the North Georgia hills. Never mind she has a PhD and speaks all sorts of dead languages.

There was barely a dry eye in the house when she was finished speaking.
She calls everyone, darlin' honey and sweetie and has a hug for everyone.

As she tells it, I am Celtic and Southern, a tough combo.
