Something about me. by johnnythemonkey on 7 May 2008 6:19am
JTM ? Am I fcuk. I'm depressive, anxious and unconfident. But no-one I've worked with for the past 18 years would ever guess it.
I'm probably the greatest actor that never worked.

AAAAH! A chink in your armour I see........well, there you go, we DO have something in common JTM. Not that I am depressive or anxious, but my cheery disposition and `life could be worse` attitude has got me to where I am now, unconfident? yes, But I act through it too, so much so that I am now at the point where I have assumed the character, you are very probably doing yourself down JTM, like me you have a weird SOH, and, I am sure you brighten up a few `real` depressed peoples day more often than not? acting? who cares, its a gift to be able to make someone laugh, dont forget it. whats the alternative to being you? it doesnt bear thinking about, I would not change me for ANY OTHER.

If you say and do more positive things as you learn more about yourself...soon, you will look and act like the man you are, John.

My dad (the wise old fart) was prone to say, on many occasions........"if you are feeling a bit pissed off with how the day has gone or if you are on a low, watch the news tonight, it will put it all in perspective".
Quite right too, silly old bugger.....

I think I was in one of my 'feeling sorry for myself ' moments but I wanted to convey that I'm not like how I post ( although I've always been honest in my more serious posts ).
Your Dad was right Wheelnut about the news etc. It only serves to make me feel guilty though, as I know I have an OK life.
A few friends here on the site know the 'real me' as much as I can understand myself. There are a lot of good people here and I much appreciate them.
I'll continue to post as a cheeky so and so though, cos I am !!

I'm depressive too, Johnny. Lots of people (mostly women--and I AM one!) think I'm strange. Well I am strange, but I'm naturally strange, I don't use any chemicals...LOL.

Some of us just feel our emotions more strongly than others. Someone who understood once told me to enjoy it--she said, "You live more deeply than most people." I don't know if that's right, but it helped me feel more comfortable in my own skin.

Things can get so bad that I stay Non Comptus Menses (something to do with no blood to the brain) Oh Bugger, you've already worked that one out!

I'm clever like that too, Johnny. I wouldn't say BOO! to a goose, as the saying goes. But when I'm at work and I'm serving customers, I'm like so cheerful and loud that you wouldn't know. Guess you and I went to the same acting school, Mate!
