How Python Has Ruined My Life. by tucsonmike on 4 June 2008 6:16am

I put this on my blog.
http://tucsonmike.wordpress.com

I did this, because it is 1300 words long.

Well Mike, much as I like you, I don't have time to read 1300 words. Who does ? Oh wait ! There's a wee wummin that's hanging on your every word ! I'll leave her to it. :)

You are of my view JTM - I very rarely click onto any links in threads.

Nice, Mike. I admire wordsmiths (not really being one myself, although addicted to the book & good writing anywhere)- it's just good to read such stuff, for a Brit.
Loved the introductory paragraph.

LOL! Glad you enjoyed it Linda. It was well, just silly.

I like it, Mike, especially the bit about being robbed at bananapoint and your mother's response. Ha, ha!

"Didnít John Cleese say in jest we could not govern ourselves and had to go back to the Queen?"

No, he never said that. Someone attributed that "Revocation of Independence" to him, but he's denied it. If you read it carefully, it really doesn't sound like him. He'd have done a much better job of it, and been much more wicked. LOL

Ohterwise, a very good article. Python has ruined my life too. I have friends who have asked me to stop talking about it. Maybe I could write my own blog...

Lol! Very well written and quite humorous, Mike. Well done! :)

Glad y'all liked it. It was a lot of fun to write.

Yes, I too liked the Banana anecdote (Oh for a mother who'd have reacted like that!)

Judy, I identify exactly with the my-friends-wear-a-glazed-look-these-days. This site is a part of my world these days, and I tell the odd anecdote from it myself - you HAVE to be careful, though, as you know.

But it's a small price to pay for Python ruining your life....
Linda
