Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... by MMMmmm... on 7 June 2008 6:22pm
Donations are now being taken for the website I am working to create... Luminous vue.

It's going to be an interactive arts~culture magazine, with a lot of variety of categories for a wide audience. It will be fun, pleasurable, interesting, enjoyable, with a lot of "featured" interactive material, as well as comments. Because I want it to be for a wide audience, it will be created and maintained in terms of style, features, content, that are more fun, positive, creative, constructive, potentially inspiring... (as opposed to potentially negative and "nasty"). It will be a place where really nasty or negative, offensive, abusive posts, etc., will be eventually removed.

It will in no way be any "competition" for Palin's Travels - it will be a completely different entity.

I have been doing a lot of work on it, I will be trying to build most of it myself (that will be the hardest part for as an Arts/English artist-person, I have never been a math/code-person). I have some friends who have had experience building websites who are going to try and help in their spare time.

Anyway if you would like to donate, you can donate as anonymously or not as you may like, (since I don't know most of your real or full names anyway) and of course, you don't have to donate at all. *Any* old amount would be welcome (and receive much appreciation). Pay pal is free to set up and use, and you can use credit cards, or bank acct. The pay pal email acct for the site is at aol.

If I can create what I want to create, which I should be able to... it will be cool and unique...

I've just wired $10,000 to your Lagos account. I think you mean well MMMmmm but get real or you will be kicked off the site.

I don't understand, what is wrong with offering information, if people want to donate to a website project I am working on?

Why would I get kicked off the site?

I've just wired $10,000 to the undersea Bank of Scotland under the North polar ice cap asking them to transfer it to your account. I hope the money arrives OK.

See my retirement thread ! :)
I may be wrong but as Michael funds this site unsupported with ads ( but we buy his books etc.... no such thing as a free lunch ) I don't think asking for funds is what we are about.
Re: Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... by MMMmmm... on 7 June 2008 10:44pm
I am not "asking" for funds. I am telling people about a very serious, legitimate project that I am working on, and saying I am accepting donations for it, *if people want to.*

You mistook my intentions from the start with this, Johnny. And your cynicism seems to corrupt much of everything you see...

But this website project is real and very genuine. Perhaps I should not have mentioned any other aspects of my life when I began talking about it, but it is something I would want to be working on no matter what - a dream project, in fact. I wish I had the complete vision I have for it now a couple of years ago. It is a project I am truly passionate and excited about, that I think a lot of people will enjoy when it's complete, because it will have a lot to offer...

How you see it is just a matter of how cynical you are...

Email me. I hope you can make this work. What about selling shares and creating a public company?
In your shoes, I would have posted this, but just with the fact that you were doing this and anyone interested could speak with you offline.
Maybe Mr. Palin could contribute something when it takes off.
Re: Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... by MMMmmm... on 8 June 2008 3:48am
*Thanks Mike*

I really actually didn't have anyone in particular in mind in terms of donations - didn't even know if anyone would donate anything at all. I said the part about being anonymous because I know sometimes people like to be anonymous, no matter who they are, (I like to be anonymous at times - it's the closest thing we get to an invisibility cloak!) I would be immensely honored, but also incredibly surprised if any donation came from Michael. I was actually just thinking of micro-donations from anyone who knows me through the site, or who might be interested to any degree at all, because any amount would be immensely appreciated and helpful, but I'm also not sure anyone will donate anything. Essentially, I am just putting it out there in case there is the possibility that someone might think it sounds worthy of a donation...

I don't think it's a public shares kind of venture - certainly not at this point. It's truly more of an artistic venture than a commercial one...

As you said, of course, I would talk to anyone who was interested offline...

I don't know your email, Mike, is it in the vital stats? I will look... or you can email me through the above address.

Hey there,
My email is in Vitals.

If you continue begging, I will complain about you. My cynicism is well founded.
