A One Handed Thrower. by tucsonmike on 27 July 2008 6:59am

Jim Abbott may not have had the most distinguished major league baseball career, but one of the most amazing. He was a left handed pitcher with a stump for a right hand.
Now, he is a motivational speaker.

Always good when heroes in one field turn their hands to another activity, and do it well, Mike.

I'm always impressed - probably foolishly - when good actors can do things like chair meetings well.

I remember standing beside a thrower at an NFL Europe backfield party. He threw a perfect left handed quarterback's pass and although I'm sure it is not uncommon I was a little surprised by it. I asked him if he was a lefthanded quarterback and he said he was.
