What are you yelling at your tv these days? by mrsteabag on 19 November 2008 8:16pm

Last night, Henry Paulson and Ben Bernake were on the news re: the auto industry bailout. In an effort to be creative, I yelled, "A pox upon your house!"

That's beautifully literary, Fran. My Yells are likely to be f**k off, Oh don't be so stupid & other banal but satisfying expressions

LOL I yelled BULLS**T a lot today, at the heads of Ford, GM and Chrysler. They kept saying that their financial failures are not based upon their product lines or refusal to pursue alternative fuel, but it's only because of the Wall Street crash. Like I said.........

But I yell at Keith Olbermann, "YOU GO, BOY! YES! RIGHT ON!"

Sigh. I wish I had cable.

There is often frustration in a number of places on regular tv - somewhere in the revolving door of opinions.

I'm at the point where I just sigh, and want them to fix it (things) or just move on (and fix things fast-now) - but hope the Obama Adm. will be more efficient at doing the right things.

The part of my day that always seems to catch me off guard is when my public tv station transitions from Charlie Rose to Barney. Somehow, Im never quite prepared for that transition. (And the tv goes off when Barney the purple dinosaur starts singing.)

Right now Stephen Colbert is on public radio! Gotta go! :D

He has a new Christmas special Sunday on Comedy Central.

Does Barney the purple dinosaur (never met him before) sing so loudly & badly, then? He sounds good fun.

Kazzzie, LET IT ALL OUT, it's unhealthy to bottle it up. Oh all right, you don't want to wake Ava.

Let's not forget "gravy sucking pig" and "snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings." And "moron" for GM executives for not keeping up with the times--the dipsticks had plenty of chances to work with more eco-friendly technology, but they kept playing to the grandparents' generation. Silly people.
Hey, Kazzz--what about writing insults on a whiteboard and holding it upto the TV--you'll be able to express yourself without waking Ava!

Barney the dinosaur sings kiddie songs in a nauseatingly cheerful voice. The children on the show all act like Stepford kids. They're so PERFECT and CHEERFUL it makes me want to PUKE!

I don't watch TV anymore, but I've been yelling, "Sonofabitch!" at most of the Bush administration when I see them online. And I had some choice words for a so-called Christian radio broadcaster who made the case for Barack Obama being the Anti-christ. (Some of my in-laws believe this s*it!)

And this morning, when I saw the article about Bush planning to relax restrictions imposed by the Endangered Species Act (accompanied by a picture of a polar bear struggling after it fell through the ice), I said some very naughty words indeed!

You guys are lucky it's you doing the yelling. I usually have sports on. It seems that with a play-by-play man, a colour commentator, an on-field reporter, an on-call statistician and a retired coach, all with a microphone...it seems THEY are yelling at ME!

Ooooh, you want to talk about the t.v. yelling at you? Try "Live with Regis & Kelly" and "The View." It's mom-in-law's daily regimen.
