JTM is so proud. by johnnythemonkey on 22 November 2008 4:37am

My youngest daughter was 16 on the 21st ( last night here ) and I'm so proud of her.
I met her boyfriend for the first time last night and he seems a decent young guy. It aint easy being a parent as most of you 'old gits' will know.
I read something when Chas ( my eldest girl ) was born, that you should just to try to enjoy your kids as they are and not think about when they are at the next stage, or imagining them at uni when they are still in nappies !
It's worked for me and I've enjoyed both my girls passage through life so far. They've both given me a lot of cheek over the years, so my efforts were'nt wasted :)
I am a bit saddened I suppose, as now that my rascal is growing up, so must I. :)
Can I continue to be Peter Pan with a face like Peter Rabbitt's arse ?

A very happy 16th birthday (yesterday) to Chas The Wee Rascal.

Hope she had a wonderful day.

:)

Congrats to both you.

Accepting that their kids have grown up is something that a lot of people find hard (or sometimes impossible) to do, so good on you.

Happy Birthday, but I am surprised Johnny likes the boyfriend. What, no shotgun greeting the poor kid at the door?;-)

Johnny--your face has only have one orifice surrounded by fur? EW!

My only is 12, and I like her a lot. I hope I continue to. She's a great kid.

Congratulations to your daughter, Johnny! Don't feel too old. If you let this childhood stretch a bit longer, you can sail right into the second without anyone noticing.

Happy b/d to Chas. So glad she turned out okay, what with all she had to overcome. JUST KIDDING!
