And now for something completely DIFFERENT this Easter.... by bIG bLOGGER on 7 April 2009 4:28pm

Calling Chocolate Lovers everywhere--this Easter why not avail yourselves of some organic Venezuelan black?

You may have heard of an entrepreneurial chappie called Willie Harcourt-Couze..yes,I know,upper-class git with a fancy name like that....

He owns a cacao finca (estate) in Venezuela and a house in Devon,England,is passionate about dark chocolate, and was featured on a Channel 4 TV series called "Willie's Wonky Chocolate Factory".

Has anybody heard of this guy or watched the programmes?
I thought they were deliciously fascinating and interesting.

I had a guy knock on the door recently and try and sign me up for a pyramid selling scheme, the product was healthy dark chocolate. it cost a FORTUNE and he recommended I personally use 5 to 6 HUNDRED dollars worth per month for my family! It was a few dollars for the tiniest square.
Pffffffffffft, what's wrong with a nice block of Cadbury's for $3.99?

They are going on about this on the forum for the illness I have.

As you say Kazzzz - pffffffffffft!! I don't even LIKE dark chocolate!!

Hooray for Cadbury's, I say!!

:)

I had pink chocolate once, I must say I wasn't too keen, it tasted like strawberry sweetened milk. YUK.

Oh don't u like dark Anne? I do it's my fave! (well apart from creme eggs...)

A few people have given Ava some eggs and I'm trying to ignore their existance. It's quite hard.

No, Kazzzz - milk or white for me!!

The exception is After 8s - and some of the Thornton collection which are dark.

But I am not eating much choc now anyway - the odd KitKat finger and a couple of Roses/Quality St.

I have a huge toblerone to eat too!! :(

Prepare yourself, Kaz! My mother gave me 4 cream eggs for Easter. You know how much I don't care for them. Yuk! Too sweeet for me. She didn't know, bless her heart. And I didn't tell her either. Since it's not too hot here right now, the centers weren't runny. I HATE them even more when they are like that. The good news is that the orange ones were very close to being pretty good!

Oh, it was pretty good. Orange and choccie is a good combination no matter how you look at it. Smacks lips. Yum...

Sounds good but is he FairTrade?

I think I saw some Venezualan Black in a Waitrose recently. It was at least £3.90 & not worth it, I thought (not if not FairTrade).
