President Obama Winning Nobel Peace Prize. by tucsonmike on 12 October 2009 12:16am

Whatever you think about his deserving it, it is a done deal. He can only be wise with having this honor.

There are some Conservatives who see it as "big deal, it was a bunch of Scandinavian socialists giving it to who they think is an American socialist."

It is best he donates the money from the prize. The last thing he needs is accusations of it being a payoff. (Sure, it is possible members of the Nobel committee did see it that way).

Afghanistan-It is a lose/lose situation now.

Chicago not getting the Olympics. No comment.

I think 'Perplexed' is the general feeling. I do admire Obama and am happy he is US President but feel so far he has done precious little to earn the Nobel Peace Prize; winding down one war to scale up another is hardly a credible qualification.

No sour grapes now about Chicago. The US has had more than its fair share of Olympics in recent history, LA and Atlanta. Great to have a Samba Olympics in Rio I'm sure.

Last night,President Obama held a Tribute To Latin Music evening at the White House. The President duly stepped onto the dance floor and wiggled his hips about some,at which point a Committee in Sweden immediately awarded him the Nobel Prize for Dance.
