The Chatter Box : Blathering On
After the fires by kazzzz on 17 December 2010 4:53am
It's amazing to see the regrowth and rebulding after the devastating bushfires we had here not so long ago. I have posted a link before for a sculpture garden by a man called Bruno Torfs. His life's work was all but destroyed.
If you have a few minutes, check out these links, there are sections of photos from right after the fires, the rebuilding process and what it looks like now. Remembering that the whole town apart from 2 buildings was destroyed, it's an amazing effort. I'll be taking Ava here soon.

Kazzz, I've looked at all the pictures, what a great place and waht a great effort to get it back to its original state.

The sculpture featured in the top left hand corner of all the links is stunning!

Absolutely amazing what they have done. It would have been quite easy to give up and not start all over again.

What amazes me is literally weeks after a fire of that magnitide you can see trees and plants sprouting, it's just astounding how quickly the regeneration starts.

Holy Mother of Milk-Bones!! I don't believe in hell, personally, but the before pics almost changed my mind.
It just amazes me that came back from all that in such a short period of time...:). Stories like that give hope.
