Hey ladies. Happy belated solstice. We missed a beautiful lunar eclipse last night at 3:17 am.

All good wishes for the solstice. Too much cloud here to see the eclipse. News said that it hasn't coincided with the solstice for 370 years.

Happy Solstice. I wish we could have seen the lunar eclipse here.

It does mean for those of us in the snow bound depths of winter that little by little from today the days will be getting longer again.

Happy Solstice, dears!! It was snowing and very cloudy. I went to bed about 10:30 and didn't move until 6:30 this morning. Missed it.

I saw the eclipse. I looked out the window at 6am and there was already a bit hidden. By 7.50am, it had disappeared all together, it was pretty cool!

The night before was clear and I had hopes, but it was not to be. The constant rain prevented me from seeing the eclipse. The eclipse was total here, all three heavenly bodies in perfect alignment for the first time visible in North America for over 500 years and I missed it.

The Gods cried for me.

I slept through it, getting up for work and not being groggy was more important, though in Tucson it was too cloudy to really see it. The photos were from the top of Mount Lemmon.
