Sue!!! Yes, you've got it. No bias here, what?

The River Liffey is named "Life"
Also connected to "fast running" as a name.

Baile Atha Cliath, Dublin in Irish, is derived from black pool.

The bridge in the picture is the ha'penny bridge and the term "Jackeen" is what the country people call the Dublin people. It is derived from the Union Jack believe it or not, the suffix 'een' in Irish means little, such as Colleen for little girl, but Jackeen means little Brit, because the country people thought the Dubliners were more like the British than the Irish. So there ya go, I have waffled on and on.

Here's another bit of useless info, the "Jackeens" called the country people "Culchies" which has two possible meanings, being named after a rural part of Ireland called Coillte Mach in County Mayo (Village in Ireland)
or
Cul an Ti in Irish means "back of the house, which was shabby, less ornate than the front.

So this Culchie will be in black pool in a few days time to see a big Brit. Yeah! Can't wait!

Well Done Sue!!!!!!! :-)

Thought it might have been in Ireland because of "sur"! "Jackeen" rang a bell in my head too.

:-) Well done Mrs.

Sur for a man and Mrs. for a woman. The finesse of speaking with an Irish accent.
