Beautiful Nature by Loretto on 5 November 2011 2:04pm

Maybe you have seen this, but Yahoo news posted this on their website this morning.

Two girls from the UK canoeing on the River Shannon in Ireland got the most amazing footage of starlings flying in synchronicity. Just beautiful. I love the light in the sky in November, December and January in Ireland.

Both of those videos required a lot of work, but they are just beautiful. Now we can come back and visit the flowers and the birds whenever we want....Consider the Lilies!! :-)

After a great day on the water, we got a nice eyeful of Orca, 3-400m from the beach, about 400m from my home.

Three of us caught 12 salmon and 8 Dungeness crab. After trailering the boat we spent twenty minutes watching a pod of Orca trying to get some evasive seals. This is what we guess was happening. From where I sat on the beach, I could easily hear their exhalations and flukes slapping the water. We had time to phone people to come and see them. I'm told they were there for an hour and a half.

I ate well today; salmon for lunch and a crab omelette with Bearnaise and cheese for dinner.
