Late Christmas present by kazzzz on 28 January 2012 10:46am

Ava's nana sent some money from London so that I could buy her something for Christmas. Well as she's absolutely insect mad, we contacted a local bloke who breeds stick insects. He has a particular sort whick is a leafy stick insect and is happy to sit on you while you walk about, Alan is regularly seen in local shops walking around with them all over his hat and shirt.
He's a bit choosy as to who can have them Kwhich is a good thing) he's said that Ava would be fine with one as she's handled them several times when we've seen him in the shops (some of you may have seen some of my facebook photos)
Anyway, he's rung, he's bred some more, we pick Nibbles up next week. Can't wait! He will make an interesting 'show and tell' for kinder!

You could give her a twig and keep the cash for creme eggs. :)

Well y'know the shops are full of creme eggs so she can have the real deal.
Apparently they eat rose leaves when they are young, then gum leaves when they get a bit older. The leafy stick insects, not the creme eggs. Creme eggs don't eat anything.
