Your favourite booking site? by ev on 1 February 2012 9:22pm

For flights, I find this one to be consistently good for finding cheap ones. For example, I've found return flights to Glasgow from Stuttgart for only 180 (about 150 pounds):

http://www.kayak.co.uk/

- If you need to change the country and/or currency, you can do that in the top right-hand corner.
- To avoid extra pop-ups, I recommend un-ticking all the boxes in the section at the bottom that says "Choose Sites to Compare -vs- KAYAK"

So you're planning on coming to Glesca Ev ? If you do, I'll recommend some bars where you'll only be a few hundred yards from the yuppy style modern places but meet real Weegies and be safe. Your accent will only make you a target for people wanting to tell you about family they have in OZ......or offering to buy you a drink. :)

Thinking about it.. often I do a fair bit of reading about a place before going there..

Apart from checking out Scotland a bit, there seems to be a train + ferry connection to Belfast via Stranraer.

So a combined Scotland - Northern Ireland visit could be interesting..

Hey anyway, whaddya mean 'accent'? Us Ozzies don' 'av any accent..

It would probably be cheaper flying Glasgow to Belfast ( or even better, Dublin. ) than taking the ferry, if you book early. Try Ryanair or Easyjet.

Ferry is only about 30 pounds return.

A quick search on Easyjet....£53 return Glasgow to Belfast in June. 40 minute flight.

Easyjet = wow that's cheap.. the fastest way isn't always the best way though..

Try that ferry crossing Ev and come back and tell me it was the best way to travel.
