I have learned a new trick in blogging. I can insert an audio clip that looks like an arrow. When you scroll to the end of this blogpost you'll see it. Click on it and you'll hear me reading the top three news headlines. I don't know why this stuff impresses me so much. I just love it, all this digital media thing a ma jigs!!!!

Would love to know what you all think of the look and layout etc. Thanks folks.

I looked at your link Lonnie but as I've mentioned in previous posts, the audio has given up on my PC and it's not a priority to buy new speakers.

I've heard your voice several times and love your Irish accent mixed with a bit of American. :)

Thanks JBG. I dread the day when there's more USA than Eire to it. Hopefully that day will never come, hardly now after nearly 20 years. As of April 4 2013 it will be 20 years.

My brother's late parents-in law lived in Australia for the last 50 years of their lives and never lost their Scottish accent. They were lovely people and wee Rena was like a mum to me when I visited them when I was 24. They visited me here, 3 times over the years and I miss them both.

My sister and family emigrated to NZ in 1974, when my sister was 36. She was soon talking like a native.

Her eldest son was 3 or so when they emigrated, and the other was born there (she was expecting him when they went, though they didn't know it!) so obviously they are both proper kiwis!!

My eldest nephew came over to live with us for 5 years when he was in his early 20s, mainly to play cricket which he was very good at. He took it in good humour, but got fed up of being asked if he was from Australia!

I don't normally click on links but after that one, I'm glad I lead a quiet life.

Does that mean you liked the blog post? Not quite sure....
That's my blog Ken, and almost every Sunday I sit down with a cup of coffee or two and put that together. At the end of the year I put the pics into a video on youtube and it covers the top news stories world wide for the year. I just like doing it, hope you liked reading it. Thanks anyway.
