An amazing Australian whale video by Lounge Trekker on 30 November 2012 6:17pm

I don't know if you guys can see it, but do try. Two Australians have an intimate encounter with two humpback whales while in their canoe!

I had heart palpatations when the little girl said, "Oh my God we're gone!" when she thought the whale was going underneath their boat. I'd be scared too. Wow.

Wow! What an experience! The girl sounded so terrified though.

She sure did. I think these whales have amazing sensitivity to anything in the water. A whale hitting a boat is unlikely to happen and maybe never by accident. I think the whales were having a good look at them.

I had an Orca fix me in his sight through one eye in an outdoor aquarium. I said to my girlfriend, "He's looking right at me!" and when he was close enough he shot about two gallons of seawater on me!

I've been within twenty metres of whales in small craft and it is an experience that could change your life.

A whale with a sense of humour, Pete!

Yeah! The rails around the pool were colour-coded depending on your willingness to risk getting wet. We were at a moderate risk area. It must have been a trick the whale was taught...to pick a target in that zone. He had his eye on me for several seconds before I got doused.

That's fantastic!
I have been about 5 metres from a humpback in a boat but the seas were very rough, l was too busy being ill to really appreciate it. Blergh.
