I loved the drying tiger. Didn't like the one where 3 photos were combined to produce an image of a spiral galaxy.

How sad though that the one where the women in Kenya? rumaging through garbage actually looked "beautiful." There's nothing beautiful about that reality.

Thanks for jolting us back to reality, Loretto.

Where I live, the biggest threat to our individual health is obesity, or at least having to fight the battle of the bulge; we have too much to eat in this life of leisure. This life of excesses gives us another 'problem': the need to recycle or dispose of all the garbage we buy along with products we don't really need.

The photo is very good when described in pure photographic terms. Perhaps the publisher of this could have acknowledged the despair accompanying this type of 'beauty'.
