Something that has been bugging me for years.......why wasn't Michael allowed back into the Reform Club at the end of his 80 day trip around the world?

The least they could have done!

Yes, good question. It was not as if they weren't expecting him!!

Also, in Pole to Pole, what would have happened if MP had been able to get aboard the Agulhas in Cape Town to reach the South Pole. What was the anticipated scenario then? Dog sleds?

I thought it was closed. If I had a Reform Club and MP was coming I'd make pretty sure it was open for the crew and him. I'd invite you all too......but not the newspaper sellers that were rude to him when he wanted to be filmed buying a newspaper. You'd think they'd have been chuffed to bits a Michael talking to them. Apparently the abuse they (the team) were subjected to there was unlike anything they'd heard during the whole 80 days. Still, takes all sorts to make a world I suppose and there's nowt as queer [in the non-homosexual sense] as folks.
