In the passage 'The Cannibals' Montaigne discusses the relationship between culture, morality, and identity. It's actually really easy once you see the translation next to the French, now isn't it?

Mais si tu veux quelque chose un peu plus risqué, il y a beaucoup plus de choses que je peux mentionner. Je pense pas que j'en oserais!!

Well I don't know how to respond to that! I can only assume that your friend is unfamiliar with the set construction 'il y a', the pronoun 'en' (meaning to do with something), and the entire conditional tense.

It means:
But if you want something a little more risqué, there are many things like that that I could mention. I don't think that I would dare!

a nature reserve in Lincolnshire to do study rivers. it was a good trip! but bloody freezing!
