i see in another post you were looking for the definition of the word hogshead . well it is a size of wooden cask used for storing/ transporting beer . guiness barges used to run along the liffey in dublin taking barrles to the ships for export . the inventory always read ex amount of hogsheads being transported .
i wonder do they still call the steel kegs hogsheads too . must put on my home brew sales person hat and find out .
full of usless information am'nt i !!!!!!

We used to have a pub in Kettering, my town, called the hogs head. The sign was simply a hog's head though
