Thanks to Michael by Helen on 24 December 2002 1:05am

... for the Christmas message. I truly believe in the sentiment expressed. So well said! We will be safer if we stay alert, get educated and keep on communicating... be bold but be careful... love it...
I was feeling a little down because I just read that Joe Strummer passed away. Your message cheered me up.
Yes, I am cranking "London Calling" right now....
Wishing Ian's family comfort during a difficult time. .. sorry to hear that news, too. I will watch some MPFC in his memory today.

...and thanks to all of the the loony, talented and brilliant Palinites all around the world.

Peace to all of you!

There. I feel so much better now!

Yes, it is a very sad day in the music world. I too, was very sad when I heard of Stummer's passing. (So young too.) His music will live on!

Dear Michael,

Best Wishes and a Merry Christmas to you and yours, all the way from "Middle Earth, Lord of the Rings" land, (Christchurch NZ).

Many thanks for your Christmas message. Do hope you are able to get some well deserved rest and reading (instead of signing) time. :-} We don't want you developing RSI, God forbid!! :-}

The countdown to Feb has begun and we can't wait to welcome you back to Christchurch. :-}]]

Sincere thanks for the gift of this website. It's such an amazing resource to dip into and learn so much from. Especially for those who have yet to realise their own travel dreams and adventures.

Our little community of Palinites who have met here and bonded so quickly is a testament to your philosophy. You inspire us daily. :-}}}

Agreed, friends don't fight, they cherish one another. Love and laughter have ultimately more power than bullets.

Congratulations on your award (they got the right man! :-} ) and sadly sincere condolances for Ian McNaughton. An important player in the Python legend.

Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for 2003,

Ellen and family xxx

Well, now USA's been pinpointed from "April" to "early April"... ;O) But the man himself has said it, so I feel like I can now rest assured that Michael will indeed be doing a booksigning tour in April next year - thank you a million for that! Now I only hope you'll be coming my way. (There's more to Wisconsin than cows and cheese, I promise you!)

Good to see a channel has even been provided for the Sahara US airing. Can't wait to see that, as well as the Hemmingway section on this website that is set to be available in January. Very exciting! :O)

I heard earlier today of Joe Strummer's death, and my thoughts are with you Palinites who were also fans of the Clash. Also very sad to hear of Ian's passing.

'Neil Diamond Land', Lyn??? Nooooooooooooooooooo...!!!! ;O)

If you read this, Michael, best of luck in the new year and hope your wrist enjoys the break. Hee hee...

Thanks for taking the time to contact us all - I was astonished and saddened to read your mention of Ian Mac as I had only last week attempted to email you to ask of the current whereabouts of this wonderful man to whom we all owe so much for his initiatives in the 70's - unfortunately my ISP had server problems that day and I guess my posting did not arrive - I am from Glasgow and at one time our families actually had a close connection so was very saddened to hear your news - however like yourself I am now off to do my Christmas shopping (11.15am Christmas Eve) - I love the last minute exhiliaration ... and a very happy Christmas to you and all your readers xxx

Just read your Christmas message Michael. Thanks for taking the time and I hope you'll have a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones and some time to relax and recover from your signing session.
Also happy holidays to all Michael fans on this board.
It was absolutely worth coming to London for just one day to see you Michael. All the best for the new year, especially health and satisfaction ;)

Oh no, i'm gone to start crying again!
meery christmas everyone!
I thought that was really thoughtful of Michael. he has so little time, yet wrote such a lovely message. I've no idea who Ian Mac was, but his family must feel awful for it to happen at this time of year.
So, WHERE is this chat going to be on 27th? Left brain at school for a rest, so still haven't worked it out yet!
luv little-peep xx
