US- many attractions suited for MP! by SingDino on 31 December 2002 12:26am
Come see the worlds largest frying pan! (Three to choose from!) or the Worlds largest ball of twine (another three!) or MAYBE you can go to the Britney Spears museum.... if you're VERY daring, check out the Biggest rubber band ball! (only two of that one...) Mr. Palin... American has many very lovely places to visit! if you ever decide to do a special on tourist traps, we're the place!

Michael - you should definitely travel the Route 66 trail in the USA... Apart from a journey with a few more home comforts than 'Sahara', what a wonderful education this would be for all TV land viewers - a trip along the fabled Mainstreet of the USA.
Can I come too? (!!!)

There's only one problem with Route 66.....NO MINNESOTA! ;) It would be really interesting though. (I already made my plug for MN in the Blathering On forum). I would also like to see a trip down the Mississipi - from Itasca MN to the Gulf. You get diversity ranging from 'small town USA to The Big Easy'. Perhaps he could do both! Why not travel every state in the Union! There's a bit of interst in all of it....from the Salt Flats of Utah to the Smokey Mountains. Let's see it all!

Yep I agree MissTrixiB i would like to see michael visit every state in america under some sort of time limit sure its been done before but not in michaels individual style. Maybe if he was alowed to use aircraft he could do 52 state capitals or most famous part of a state in 104 days i dont know if that would be feasable but something like that.

I wouldn't want him to visit our state capitol. The only exciting thing to happen there just left office at the first of the year (A Pro-Wrestler in a government office? Who ever heard of such a thing?!? I voted for him....eeeek!). Our State capitol is painfully dull. I like the most famous city in each state idea though. Or the largest city in each state (then he'd have to visit mine ;)) I think by car or train is a must though. You don't get the feel of the country when you fly and I'd love it if he could show off the diversity of the United States (and the size). I drove from Minneapolis to Las Vegas in 32 hrs (Chicago in 8 if I have a good tail wind ;) ). He could get around the US in a little over 3 months. Just have to 'break the rules' (airplane) for a couple of stops. We could just make it the continental US.....Alaska has had enough attention from him and Hawaii has just plain had enough attention. Those would be the only distance issues. Hmmmm, I wonder if all of this subtle hinting is doing us any good? We'll see.
