Canoeing in Sweden by t wilson on 13 October 2004 8:56pm

Next year i am planning a trip to go canoeing in Sweden with a group of friends. I was wondering if anybody lived in Sewden and could give me some pointers on where to go, or perhaps someone has done the same. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That's interesting, I didn't know there was a large canoeing industry in Sweden.

I don't live in Sweden but I have gone on a canoeing trip on the river Jösse in Värmland in July 2003. It was organised by the Kanot och Turistcenter in Arvika, see http://www.arvikacanoe.se/. They offer good equipment to be used on several scenic routes on the beautiful lakes and rivers in the area and I can definitely recommend their services.
