November 24th I am heading to Brussels for the weekend. Does anyone have some suggestions for what I should do while I am there?

Yes.

Find out what the hell they've done with hundreds of billions of pounds/euros over the past eleven years - the auditors don't seem to be able to get to the bottom of it.

Political rant over.

I have been to Brussels several times but not recently.

Go to the top of the Atomium for a good view. Other places to visit are the Grand Place, the famous Manneken Pis, the Royal Park, the King's House, the Palace of Justice. Details of all these are on a good website:

Also, the Waterloo battleground with its lion monument is not too far away from Brussels (about 45 mins by bus, I think) - it's well worth a visit.

I am really into music and musical performances. I am a bit of an artist so anything to do with art or art history. Good food, as long as it is kosher and a good night life.

Regards to music, Brussels does have a nice night-life.
I would recommend you check out the following who offer more than the “average bar band”: Archiduc (mainly Cuban) and the Music Village (Jazz – my favourite place).
If you can, there’s a good band on the rise here. They might be playing Brussels when you’re in town. You may visit http://www.puggyband.com
Well worth a look.

Otherwise, you have the following concert venues: Ancienne Belgique, Cirque Royal, Botanique, Theatre de la Monnaie, Palais des Beaux-Arts.
These offer a wide range of performences. Each have a website you can find on Google (as with both “amateur/semi venues mentioned earlier”).

If you want to experience the real Belgian bar, there the Poushenellekelder (not quite sure of the spelling here – but right next to the Manneken Piss (Tourist attraction).

Belgium is home to many artists, and in Brussels you do have a few museums regarding paintings. The Modern Arts Museum (on Mont des Arts – Rue Ravenstein) – where they have a lovely selection, the Magritte Museum…

As for Kosher food, AVOID the Rue des Bouchers – it’s a series of restaurants in the center – all in a very narrow series of paths – it’s a tourist trap. The food is below average and the prices are ridiculous.
To find the restaurant you’re after: http://www.resto.be

Hope you have a good time, here is a website that could help: http://www.bitc.be (Brussels Tourism)
