This up coming weekend I will be staying in Prag for a couple of days. What is there to do and see? Please, share your secrets!

If it's just for a weekend, then I suggest the classic "basic" sights in Prague - start with the Wenceslas Square, walk through to the Old Town Square (and see the famous astronomical clock there, and the baroque church of St. Nicholas), cross the Charles Bridge over to Mala Strana ("Little Quarter"), up the hill to the Prague Castle (with the beautiful gothic St. Vitus cathedral and a lovely picturesque Golden Lane), perhaps you can also stray to the Strahov monastery (a very nice example of baroque architecture). The Jewish quarter is also a must-see, the same goes for the Municipal House (a typical example of an art nouveau building, on Namesti Republiky), and Vysehrad is a beautiful place for a walk. And make sure you stop for a coffee in the Slavia cafe. ;-)
