One of Carol Ann Duffy's works is an epic poem called 'The Laughter of Stafford Girls High' - the school we both attended.

I have tried to find a copy of it online, but failed although I have found loads of reviews of it.

This is the closest I got - and even THAT is out of date so you can't listen to it!!

Noone that I know of but my friend went to school with Elizabeth Hurley in London and he used to kick her bag around the schoolyard!

Ray used to see Princess Diana cos she was the patron of the hospital next to his school (Burlington Danes) and she was there frequently. He used to watch her through the fence awww how cute!

Well I was at school with Stephen Frost the comedian (BlackAdder, the Young Ones, occasional appearances on 'Have I got news for you' etc) though we haven't been in touch for a good few years.

Gary Glitter also went to my primary school although several years before me, but perhaps I should keep that quiet!!

Also Mick Kearns the former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper was about 5 years above me in primary school

I showed my industrial strength gym knickers to Harry Enfield....briefly. He was at the boys school in Horsham and me in the girls. I got on the train at Pulborough and he alighted at Billingshurst. Boy, I am so chuffed that my pants were better than his!
No, I did show my industrials and he did just say"Hi Ginny" however,it was over 30 years ago.
I wouldn't do it again.
