Ha - that's funny.

The chicks can't even get it right. You're saying that there're two soccer teams in Sheffield - Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday - and that it was the latter, not the former, that got relegated. How like a woman to foul up something so trivial.

Now, normally I would just go away - but this time I think I'll explain my above comment.

You see, that was meant to be a joke. And I know what you're going to say next: "Well, I didn't think it was very funny at all, and in fact I think that you're just a sexist, insensitive, lame idiot."

There's nothing I can do about that.

So what - my sense of humor doesn't function on the same level as almost everyone else's. Why not just give me a break, and stop insulting me everytime I post something.

I think it was Gandhi who said: You'll find that there's room for all of us here.

actually, if you care to watch any of michaels travel programs, he states when he is speaking to a african boy, who listens and lernt english off the world service radio from listening to the football, michael asks what team he supports, the boy replies 'manchester united' and michael says 'my team beat them in the final, sheffield wednesday' as this is a referance to the 1991 rumbelows cup final, which wednsday won 1-0. so are you not calling michael a lier??? or is it my copy of pole to pole thats been changed ,mmmmm, so once again 'my dear' if you dont know or watch the programs mr palin (yes thats his name) does , dont add any comments ;-), maybe you should go and buy the video? or just shut up!!!!

My dera, as you seem to have a "sense of humour" that we don't "understand", lets just look at it for a moment. Michael has a sense of humour we all apprieciate (don't complain if i spelt that wrong. I'm dyslexic. Got a problem with that too?). You're just oversteped that bourder where we don't know if you're being funny or a sour BOF.
Tony, i remember seeing that bit in "pole to pole". I watched it resently, and it was Sheffield Wednesday.

my dear, to help people understand that I'm just teasing or joking around when writing online, I usually use an emoticon. :O)

See? A winking emoticon of any type or variety can do wonders in explaining things in a short period of time. However, I do know some people think it's stupid or just don't like it, so if you're not an emoticon person, that's alright.

If you're not sure if we will see that you're joking, simply writing "just kidding" or "joking" at the end of your post will probably work as well.

Just some suggestions! :O)

(Who uses emoticons far, far, far too much! LOL!)
