Celebrating Obama by geordiegirl on 7 November 2008 2:38pm

Tomorrow (sat) we are having friends to dinner. I pondered, then came up with this Obama Cocktail:

I msr Blue Bols
1 msr dry vermouth
2 msr bitter lemon.

It has to be Democratic Blue, of course. And it might be totally disgusting.

And then with the meal, RED wine to celebrate a Labour by-election victory, TOTALLY unexpected, large majority, big boost!

If you invent a new cocktail you have to give it a new name: any ideas for christening your 'Obama' cocktail?
Like..an Obama Electric Blueball with a large slice of Change..you know what I mean?

I know that Bols Blue began life as 'liqueur de ciel' (heavenly drink) on the island of Curacao (Dutch Antilles) in the 19th century.

Yes I hear what youi say Peter but I can't think of THE snappy phrase for it just at the minute. I think it will have to be 'Obama Cocktail, Denmocratic Blue'.

It was nice, by the way, we had 2. being sensible old gits we stuck to that.
